High Blood pressure, or Hypertension, during pregnancy can be detected only through regular prenatal (pre-pregnancy) checks. There are three main causes of high blood pressure during pregnancy:
1. Mothers carrying multiple babies (twins and triplets) are at a high risk of developing high blood pressure.
2. A molar pregnancy, which is overgrown placental tissues, could be another cause.
3. Women suffering from Thrombophilia or excessive clotting could also be prone to hypertension during pregnancy.
